The project explores iridescence created by applying gel onto the deformed surfaces of CDs. Using macro photography and flashlight illumination, it captures delicate color shifts that emerge on the curved and damaged areas of the disk. This process allows for the preservation of unique spectral effects that change with each movement of light and perspective. The gel and distorted CD texture form abstract visual patterns, revealing the fragility and beauty of reflections. The project embodies the interaction between light and matter, where illusion becomes part of physical reality, and the digital remnants of the disk transform into a new visual world.
