Visuals for Katy Perry’s concert residency ᑭᒪᗩY at Resorts World Las Vegas (2021–2023).
I had the great pleasure of collaborating with BLINKTV INC on a project for Katy Perry's concert "Play." The project involved creating visual effects for the powerful finale of her encore song "Firework." In this part of the show, Katy stands within a giant keyhole cutout in the center of the stage backdrop.
To enhance the visual impact, I created footage where paints and pigments dynamically flow around the keyhole, with paint droplets bursting like fireworks in a bright sky. This technique adds a surreal and ethereal quality, framing Katy's performance in a vivid, flowing aura. As the song reaches its finale, these paints cascade around her in sync with the music, with bright, colorful bursts growing increasingly intense. This creates a mesmerizing, dynamic display that amplifies the emotional energy of "Firework" and leaves a lasting impression on the audience as the stage closes down.
